This was a montage of shots to give students attending the Crossroads 2005 conference a vision for joining Campus Crusade for Christ staff. Our objective was in an attractive way to show that as staff we are called for all sorts of reasons, but we are a family focused on a mission together. The video was shot by using a camera on a tripod in one position while people and the locations change in the background. The fade in and outs make it look like people are appearing and disappearing. We wanted to tone down the seriousness of joining staff by showing a more lighthearted side with fun music and answers that range from silly to sincere.
This is a video to highlight the theme of the San Diego Winter Conference 2006. As the idea for a theme for the winter conference came together we wanted to communicate the theme in video as well as web and print to give students a greater feel for what the conference was about. The video was shot in San Diego with some Campus Crusade for Christ students and alumni from UC San Diego who were gracious enough to give us some of their time. We want students to feel the contrast between the day to day, the mundane, and the gift that God has given us in calling us to his mission. We also wanted them to see that God hasn't just invited us to help him in that, but he has given us tools to use. We didn't shoot any faces to give it the feel of any student anywhere, and we used music that is more thought provoking and ethereal to tone down the senses and help concentrate on the message.
